The Town of Winamac is located in Monroe Township, Pulaski County, Indiana was selected as the county seat in 1839 and was incorporated in 1868. The town’s name came from the Potawatomi word for “catfish.”

The town manager’s office is located at the Winamac Town Hall, Clerk-Treasurer’s Office, and acts as the administrative head of town government, and is under the direction of the Town Council. This office manages the day-to-day operations of the Town. The town manager is appointed each year by the Town Council.
